STP Frontman a New Dad
Nov. 24 -- Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland and his wife, Mary Forsberg, celebrated their first Thanksgiving holiday as parents with their 4-day-old son, Noah Mercer Weiland.
Noah was born Sunday, weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces, according to a birth announcement issued by STP’s management.
“It was the most glorious moment in my life,” Weiland said in the announcement. “He is healthy, wealthy, and wiser than me.”
Weiland and Forsberg married last May in Los Angeles, several months after the singer’s release from the drug treatment facility at the Los Angeles County Jail. The singer was ordered into rehab in August of last year for probation violations.
Stone Temple Pilots toured extensively this summer, and on Nov. 10 — just in time for the birth — the band members wrapped up the MTV “Return of the Rock” tour, which they headlined.
