Jada Pinkett Smith Has a Girl

Actress Jada Pinkett Smith, wife of movie star Will Smith, gave birth on Halloween to the couple’s second child, a daughter, his publicist reported today.

The baby girl, named Willow Camille Reign Smith, weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces at birth, according to a statement from publicist Stan Rosenfield.

The couple have a 2-year-old son named Jaden Christopher, and the actor has a son, Trey, born in 1992, from a previous marriage.

Smith, 32, the star of movie blockbusters Men in Black and Independence Day, returns to theaters this weekend in Robert Redford’s The Legend of Bagger Vance, playing a caddie who helps a former golf star (Matt Damon) regain his “swing.”

Pinkett Smith, 29, stars as a TV executive in Spike Lee’s latest film, Bamboozled, a satire about racism in the entertainment industry.

Smith and Pinkett Smith, who married Dec. 31, 1997, met when she auditioned for the role of his girlfriend for the 1990s TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, though the part ultimately went to Nia Long.
