N E W  Y O R K, July 31 -- What is the deal with all those fancy cars?

Jerry Seinfeld is building a fancy garage forhis multimillion-dollar car collection. The New York Post saysarchitectural plans call for a West 83rd Street building to betransformed into a garage from its current derelict state.

The garage reportedly will have Italian tiles and a heavy-duty elevator tomove the cars from basement to street level.

Seinfeld lives on West 81st Street with his pregnant wife. Hebought the 83rd Street building last year for about a $1 milliondollars.

The Web site TheSmokingGun.com obtained records filed with theBuildings Department. The records indicate Seinfeld is paying about$500,000 dollars for the renovation.
