Terra Jolé Is 'Honored' to Be the First Little Person to Compete on 'DWTS'
The new season of “Dancing With the Stars” premieres Sept. 12 on ABC.
— -- Terra Jolé, the star of “Little Women: LA,” is excited to compete on “Dancing With the Stars” as the first-ever little person to hit the show's dance floor.
“I am honored to be the very first little person to ever be a part of ‘Dancing With the Stars,’” the new mom said on “Good Morning America” today. “Besides the fact I had a child a month ago, I think the biggest hurdle is figuring out how this is going to work for me.
“I think if I can do this with my partner Sasha [Farber], and I can dance and really be taken seriously, then I can accomplish anything,” she added.
Farber couldn't agree more, and is ready work toward earning the coveted mirror ball trophy.
“It’s definitely going to be a challenge,” Farber said, “but she’s inspired me so, so much, so we’re both really excited to do this.”
Jolé, 36, just gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Grayson, on Aug. 1. He’s the second child for the “DWTS” contestant and her husband, Joe Gnoffo, who also have a daughter, Penelope, born in March 2015.
Jolé joked that she and former “DWTS” contestant and ABC News chief meteorologist Ginger Zee “were discussing how we were pumping in between” their dance rehearsals. Zee had given birth to her son, Adrian, only a few months before beginning her time in the ballroom.
The new season of “Dancing With the Stars” premieres at 8 p.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 12, on ABC.
