Tony Awards 2014: Neil Patrick Harris, Bryan Cranston Receive Nominations

"Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" leads with 10 nominations.

April 29, 2014— -- intro: A number of boldfaced names, including Neil Patrick Harris, Bryan Cranston and Chris O'Dowd, were among the nominees for Tony Awards announced this morning.

"A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder" led the field with 10 nominations, followed by "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," which received eight nominations, including one for its star, Harris. "After Midnight," "Beautiful - The Carole King Musical," "The Glass Menagerie" and "Twelfth Night" all received seven nominations each.

There were also plenty of big names shut out of Broadway's biggest night, scheduled for June 8.

Daniel Radcliffe ("The Cripple of Inishmaan"), Denzel Washington ("A Raisin in the Sun"), James Franco ("Of Mice and Men") and Michelle Williams ("Cabaret") were among those who failed to score a nomination.
