Chesney, Krauss and McBride Rack Up CMA Nods

The Country Music Association awards recognize the best in country music.

Aug. 30, 2007 — -- Country music superstars Kenny Chesney, Alison Krauss and Martina McBride garnered the most nominations for the 41st Annual Country Music Association Awards, which were announced Thursday morning on "Good Morning America." The trophies are country music's highest honor.

This year's CMA nominees range from traditional artists to more pop crossover successes like "America Idol" alumna Carrie Underwood, who received three nominations. Keith Urban and John Rich of the band Big and Rich also received three nods.
