ABC News' Will Reeve opens up after engagement to Amanda Dubin: 'We are elated'
Reeve and his girlfriend Amanda Dubin got engaged in New York City.
ABC News' Will Reeve is engaged!
The journalist popped the question to his girlfriend of two years, Amanda Dubin, on Friday night in New York City, "Good Morning America" confirmed.
"We are elated. Couldn't be happier," Reeve said on "GMA" Monday morning.
"I had a whole plan. It went to perfection and now we just get to enjoy being engaged, planning a wedding," the ABC News correspondent continued, adding, "I'm the luckiest guy in the world. Thank you for all the love you've shown."
The couple shared the happy news through a joint post on Instagram featuring photos from the special moment.
In one photo, Reeve got down on one knee and asked Dubin for her hand in marriage. Other images captured an intimate gathering with the coupleās close friends and family, as well as a beautiful setup of flowers and candles overlooking the Manhattan skyline and the Empire State Building.
The post also features photos of Reeve with his new fiancƩe sharing a kiss and embrace to celebrate the milestone.
"Us š¤," read the caption of the post.
Reeve's ABC News colleagues flocked to the comments of the post to congratulate the couple.
"GO WILL. YAY AMANDA!! We are sooo happy for you both !!!!ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø," Lara Spencer, a co-anchor of "GMA," wrote.
Gio Benitez, another "GMA" co-anchor, commented, "Oh my gosh this makes me SO happy!! Congratulations you two beautiful souls!!! š."
Meanwhile, chief meteorologist Ginger Zee added, "Hooray! ššš."
Prior to their engagement, the couple had been dating for two years and had regularly appeared on one another's Instagram accounts.
Reeve paid tribute to Dubin on her birthday in April 2023, sharing a selfie of the couple with the Eiffel Tower in the background.
"Paris is for birthdays. The happiest to @amandadubin ā¤ļø," he wrote in the caption at the time.
In June of this year, Dubin marked Reeve's birthday by posting a carousel of photos of her and Reeve together, captioning it, "Happy birthday to my most favorite person š„°šš¤©āŗļøšššš„³."
