Drew Barrymore hilariously tries to declutter her house for 'spring cleaning'
"I am going to Marie Kondo my life," she said.
Drew Barrymore was hoping to get a head start on her spring cleaning and, on Tuesday, shared a hilarious video of her extreme decluttering efforts -- starting with her daughters' closet.
Sitting cross-legged and surrounded by a mountain of kids clothing and assorted items, the 46-year-old actress declared herself "a woman on the edge."
"I am going to Marie Kondo my life," Barrymore dramatically announced as her two cats sauntered between the half-filled boxes. "I am going to do 'spring cleaning' and hope that it gives me a sense of control, because this is the only thing I can control."
Noting that everything in her life currently feels "out of control," Barrymore bunched up her long brown hair in a bun and said, "Control is bumper rails and hopefully leads to boundaries and safety."
The "Charlie's Angels" star broke out into hysterical laughter as she indicated toward the empty closet to her right, declaring, "If I can get that out of the main closet, then how exciting is that?"
Barrymore closed out her hilarious PSA by taking in a deep breath and wishing her followers, "Happy spring cleaning! May it bring whatever you are looking for."
The video cuts off with the talk show host snatching a piece of clothing off the floor and into an organizational box.
A few of the boxes appeared almost full, with one stocked with disposable pink and blue face masks and what appears to be handwipes.
In the caption, the "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" star rallied her fans by asking, "Is anyone with me???"
Barrymore is the mom to daughters Olive and Frankie, who are 8 and 6, respectively. She shares the two with ex husband Will Kopelman.
