Will Ferrell teases us with a 'Wedding Crashers' sequel -- but will it happen?
Rachel McAdams, who starred in the original, is down to return.
In a world where nostalgia has revived popular films and television shows, will "Wedding Crashers" be next in line?
While there hasn't been anything officially announced, Will Ferrell, who briefly appeared in the 2005 movie, gave fans a glimmer of hope when chatting with E! News on Tuesday.
"'Wedding Crashers 2.' Yeah, I think we can just say it's being written," Ferrell teased.
The original film grossed almost $300 million worldwide and featured a star studded cast including Christopher Walken, Rachel McAdams, Isla Fisher, Bradley Cooper and Jane Seymour. "Wedding Crashers" followed the story of two divorced men (Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn) who, as the name implies, crash weddings with the goal of meeting and seducing women.
As for what a sequel would look like, Ferrell didn't spill much -- but we can count on McAdams being interested if the project comes to fruition.
"I got to work with Owen again on 'Midnight in Paris,' so that was super fun. And I worked with Vince again on 'True Detective,' now I'm just remembering it. But those were very different," the "Mean Girls" star said in the same interview. "So yeah, it'd be nice to go back and have a romp."
