Hilary Duff celebrates son Luca's 9th birthday with emotional message
Her son taught her that her heart "can just keep growing bigger and bigger."
Hilary Duff shared a loving birthday tribute for her son, Luca, who turned 9 years old on Saturday.
Posting a photo of balloons from his celebration on Instagram, the "Younger" actress wrote, "Luca provided me with the best 9 years of my life and taught me that my heart can just keep growing bigger and bigger and that it’s truly endless."
"Was so happy to celebrate this year in a (safe) more normal way and make this dude feel extra special!" she continued. "Next year I will get back to photo collaging... I desperately didn’t want to have a baby on his birthday so he could keep his day all to himself. ..... success. Now please please body let do this ...."
Duff shares Luca with ex-husband Mike Comrie. Their divorce was finalized in 2016.
She and current husband Matthew Koma, who wed in 2019, welcomed daughter Banks in 2018 and are anxiously awaiting their second child together.
Koma also shared a photo with Luca to celebrate his birthday.
"It’s my little dude’s 9th birthday tomorrow and he asked me to put Green Day on in the car last week. Old Green Day. Makes me tear up," he captioned the post.
