Kimmel brings out a donkey
Host Jimmy Kimmel delighted the audience when he brought out a special guest during the ceremony: a donkey.
The appearance was a reference to Jenny the donkey, the famous animal that appeared in "The Banshees of Inisherin."
Kimmel joked that the donkey was a "certified emotional support donkey," saying, "If you are feeling upset or anxious or maybe you just love mules, feel free to come up and give her a hug."
"The Banshees of Inisherin" star Colin Farrell blew the donkey a kiss from his seat in the audience, while co-star Brendan Gleeson waved.
Editor’s Note: An earlier version reported the donkey onstage at the Oscars was Jenny the donkey who appeared in the film. The post has since been updated.
