Oct. 10, 2009— -- Now that meals on wheels are getting acclaim just like four-star restaurants, "GMA Weekend" has decided to scour the country in search of the best street food prepared and served in food carts.

The entry period for for GMA Weekend's Best Food Cart Challenge is now over. Please tune in to GMA Weekend Saturday and Sunday mornings in November to find out the finalists and winner.

From coast to coast, mobilized chefs, Twittering the masses, are serving up no less than the evolution of our national street cuisine. We're looking into a global feast of crepes, sushi, barbecue, burritos, ice cream, dessert -- you name it!

Do you know of a local food cart that serves amazing food?

If so, "GMA Weekend" wants you to tell us about it and its signature dish. If your entry gets the most votes from our panel of judges and viewers across America, the food cart that you entered may be featured on national television, and you could win a free trip to New York and a chance to eat at a famous New York City restaurant.
