Julia Roberts Talks About New Husband

July 22 -- After many Hollywood romances, Julia Roberts says she has found the man she was born to love.

Roberts, now "Mrs. Moder" amongst her friends, says she and her new husband, cameraman Danny Moder, were meant, above everything else, to be together.

"I hope that there are people who agree that I have done some good, kind things in my life, but to really, ultimately, stand fully in a moment of realizing that I was born to love and to be the wife of this man," Roberts told ABCNEWS' Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America.

A Delicate Divorce

Roberts married Moder less than one year after he filed for divorce. When they met on the set of last summer's film The Mexican, Moder was still married to his makeup-artist wife, Vera Moder, who was reluctant to give her husband a divorce after four years of marriage. Moder's marital status proved to make the situation a "terribly complicated" one at times, according to Roberts.

The actress says her romance with Moder, which came off the heels of her four-year relationship with actor Benjamin Bratt, cannot be known or understood by others.

"People don't know anything. People assume. People decide. It is not for me to ask anybody to assume or decide or feel differently," Roberts said.

The cameraman and the movie star were married in a July 4 midnight ceremony at the movie star's estate near Taos, N.M.,

Roberts and Bratt parted ways in the spring of last year, and Bratt married actress Talisa Soto earlier this year.

It's been reported that Bratt wanted to start a family, and that he was troubled by Roberts' fame, which he once compared to a mosquito buzzing in one's ear.

Roberts says she feels as if everyone involved has landed in the place they were meant to be.

"I figure he [Bratt] is kind of making his choices, so all the better because he was unhappy and he left and moved along and found happiness in a place where there aren't any mosquitoes," Roberts said.

Rumors?

When it comes to rumors of the couple's tattoos of one another's initials, Roberts says that's really old news.
