May 11, 2009 — -- Diane, Robin, Chris and Sam have never shied away from competition. But this week, the "Good Morning America" quartet takes the contest to a whole new level in the Battle of the "GMA" anchors.

It all culminates Friday, May 15 when they all participate in a backyard Olympics that will include all types of crazy and interesting games, all suggested by you. And as past dares have shown, these anchors play to win.

All week Diane, Robin, Chris and Sam will train with special guests and highlight fun, inexpensive activities you can do with your friends and family.

It began today with the help of 19-year-old gymnast Steven Gluckstein who taught the "GMA" team the wonders of the trampoline.

In the midst of Time Square this morning, the "GMA" anchors took to the skies with, well, at least some grace and ease.

They may have taken a few tumbles, but as the anchors trained for their challenge, their skills and the height of the jumps got dangerously high.

Diane eventually perfected the "jump, sit and up" but it was Sam Champion who stole the show. With a daring, if unintended mid-air rendition of "the running man" dance move, Sam bounded with relative control as passerbys looked on confused more than anything.

They were obviously trying to hide how impressed they were.
