— -- Question: What Are Some Of The Most Common Causes Of Nerve Pain?

Answer: There are several causes of nerve pain. Some of the causes of nerve pain included nerve compression from disc herniation, spinal stenosis, peripheral nerve injury, metabolic diseases such as diabetes, lupus, multiple sclerosis, HIV, lead ingestion, vitamin deficiencies such as B-12, and complex regional pain syndrome. Medications can also cause nerve injury.

The most common cause of nerve pain I see in the pain clinic is from previous back surgery and disc herniation.
