If you are at least 60 years old and have a diagnosis of previously untreated AML (either de novo or from an antecedent hematologic disorder or therapy-related AML), at least 20 percent blasts by BM biopsy, ECOG performance status of 0,1, or 2 and adequate cardiac, renal and liver function, you may be eligible to participate in this study.

If you are between 18 and 80 years old, have a clinical diagnosis of pseudobulbar affect, exhibit involuntary episodes of laughing and/or crying and a confirmed diagnosis of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) or multiple sclerosis (MS), you may be eligible to participate in this study.
