— -- Question: What can I do to reduce fatigue caused by my chemotherapy treatments?

Answer: There are two things that we know that you can do to manage your fatigue. First, if your fatigue is due to anemia -- and some chemotherapy treatments are known to cause anemia -- then you can discuss that with your physician and get your anemia treated in order to manage the fatigue that accompanies it.

If you're not experiencing anemia, there's only one thing that we know from research is very helpful in managing fatigue, and that's exercise. Exercise can be very effective in managing the fatigue that's related to chemotherapy and also the sleep disturbances, the interruptions of sleep, which often accompany chemotherapy.
