— -- McDonald’s has stopped giving out free activity tracking bands with its Happy Meals, after receiving complaints that they were irritating the skin of children who wore them.

The fast-food giant said it had received “limited reports of potential skin irritations that may be associated from wearing the band,” and has already started offering a different toy with the children’s meals.

The bands were made in China, The Associated Press reported.

McDonald’s, often associated with unhealthy junk food, has made an effort in recent years to improve its reputation, the AP reported.
