April 11, 2011— -- Kate Middleton opted for a chic suit for her visit to northern England today on her final walkabout with Prince William before they marry. Her fitted navy blue suit with hook and eye fasteners was a contrast to the beige Burberry trench she sported in Belfast a few weeks ago. The only nod to the Darwen downpour that drenched the couple's visit was an enormous umbrella that matched her three-inch black heels.

Sleek suits and coats of many colors appear to be the backbone of Kate's public wardrobe. She stepped out in Anglesey, Wales for her first official public engagement in a Katherine Hooker coat accented with a feathered fascinator. Previously, Kate had appeared in that coat in a longer length five years ago at the Cheltenham Gold Cup, wearing it with a mink hat.

In January, she donned a velvet topcoat by Libelula, wearing it to a friend's wedding over a black dress with a sheer bodice. Hours after photographs of Kate in the velvet coat were published, Libelula's website scored thousands of hits from around the globe and the coat sold out immediately.
