April 7, 2011— -- Prince Harry's "Walking With the Wounded" expedition has been delayed yet again — this time for his departure.

The runway at the Barneo Polar landing strip cracked from extreme cold, preventing planes from taking off or landing, and leaving Prince Harry stuck in sub zero temperatures..

St. James Palace tells ABC News, "Prince Harry was due to leave the Arctic today, but owing to damage to the runway at Ice Camp Barneo, his departure has been delayed. He will now spend and extra day trekking with the team [in Norway] and return to Barneo tonight to await the first available flight. "

The delay could last anywhere from 24 to 48 hours, so the Prince is unlikely to arrive back in the UK before Saturday evening at the earliest.

Harry must return for his day job in the British Air Force. The Palace said, "As it stands, he will not miss any military commitments."
