Royal Wedding Brings Knee-Knocking Nerves

April 26, 2011— -- Prince William has already admitted his knees were "tapping quite nervously" during a past royal wedding rehearsal, and Royal Air Force Wing Commander Kevin Marsh can confirm those jitters.

"I'm sure he'll be very nervous. When he was flying, before any check rides or any tests, he would get quite nervous, but the way he did it he would quietly reflect and study," Marsh, who has known the prince for almost four years, told the Press Association.

When William joined the RAF in 2008, Marsh taught him how to fly, according to the Telegraph. The two are now colleagues.

Even though Marsh sent the prince a text message to wish him luck before the wedding, he has no doubt that the prince will pull through, regardless of any anxiety he may be experiencing before walking down the aisle.

"I'm sure he's there learning his lines right now, but I have no doubt he'll be perfect on the day," Marsh said.

The royal couple has not chosen Marsh to be one of the 24 service members to line the pathway up to Westminster Abbey, but he is also one of the coveted ticketholders to Kate and Will's wedding.

"It's an amazing honor. I've been lucky enough to know the prince for about three to four years, but I never thought that I'd receive one of those golden tickets, if you like, to the wedding," Marsh said.
