Death Toll Rises to 64 in Taliban Attack, Over 340 Injured

The attack happened in Kabul on Tuesday morning.

— -- The Afghan interior ministry confirmed to ABC News that 64 people were killed and 347 others were injured in a Taliban attack on a Kabul Security Agency Compound.

Taliban militants staged a coordinated attack Tuesday morning, including a powerful suicide car bombing, on the agency responsible for protecting senior Afghan government officials, according to the Associated Press.

The White House has condemned the attacks and urged the terrorist organization to choose the "pathway of peace."
