The worst floods in more than a century that hit Serbia and Bosnia claimed 45 victims so far and tens of thousands who were evacuated were still homeless on May 19. In Serbia and Bosnia some 50,000 people had to be evacuated from the areas affected by floods. Obrenovac was one of the most severely hit towns and a plant near there, which is producing 50 percent of the electricity in the Balkan country, was surrounded by water.
