Saving Endangered Sumatran Orangutans

The orangutans in Indonesia are critically endangered, with only 14,000 left in the wild. According to Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program, "The single biggest threat to orangutans in both Borneo and Sumatra is the loss of their rain forest habitat." The majority of deforestation is due to logging and clearing land for palm oil plantations.
