"Hidden Beauty Near the Shore," the exquisite underwater photographs of Toru Kasuya won a Nikkei National Geographic Photo Award. His photographs reveal a thriving and diverse underwater ecosystem near urban areas.
"I started visiting this bay every month in the year before the Great East Japan Earthquake. I was touched by the way parent fish work hard and doggedly to hatch their eggs," he remarked.
