1 of 10
Award-winning photojournalist John Moore went to Monrovia, Liberia, in 2014 at the height of the Ebola epidemic and captured heart-wrenching images depicting the lives of its residents faced with death, fear and uncertainty. This month, Moore returned to Monrovia to capture and compare the lives of the people living in the West Point slum of Liberia's capital Monrovia. Pictured, a mother and child stand atop their mattresses in a classroom now used as Ebola isolation ward, Aug. 15, 2014, in Monrovia, Liberia.
