— -- Tired of your ordinary Santa-printed wrapping paper? A new company called "Gift Wrap My Face" is putting a fun twist on presents this holiday season -- by putting your face on them.
“My wife and I are both graphic artists,” said Aryel Rivero, co-founder of giftwrapmyface.com. “About 4 years ago I made this gift wrap with my face on it. I printed it out and my wife loved it. We just kind of gave them out as gag gifts.”
Soon after, Rivero and his wife, co-founder Vanessa Clavijo, decided to offer their services on their own website, which officially launched Thursday night.
To make your own, start by selecting a pattern and uploading photos to the site. Use the clipping tool to snip the part of the photo that you’d like printed on your paper, and purchase.
For $14.99 you can order one 25-inch roll with up to four images of your choice -- order four or more rolls and the price drops to $12.99 each.
“The majority of photos that people send in are faces,” Rivero said. “We’ve also had dogs, President Obama, and even Kim Kardashian’s butt.”
“We want to give this a fun vibe,” Rivero said. “It’s not about what’s in the gift, it’s about the act of giving. When people see this they immediately start smiling.”
Rivero said he and his wife plan to donate a portion of their proceeds to anti bullying efforts.
