Cut Down Your Own Tree at a Christmas Tree Farm

— -- At Battenfeld's Christmas Tree Farm in Red Hook, New York, visitors have the opportunity to chop down their own tree.

"For almost half a century, the Battenfeld family farm has been a part of America's Christmas holidays, providing the Christmas trees and memories for a traditional Christmas," according to the farm's website.

The farm, run by the Battenfeld family for five generations, sells a variety of Christmas trees for $65 a piece.
