— -- Kipp and Kelsey Loeslie are in for a lifetime of happiness if rain is considered good luck on your wedding day.

The Grand Forks, North Dakota, couple tied the knot last Friday amid thunderstorms and a funnel cloud that is featured as the backdrop in one of their wedding photos.

Kelsey, 25, told ABC News that the couple’s photographer, Jeremy Manstrom, was just finishing taking photos of the wedding party outside of the venue near Moorhead, Minnesota, when they all spotted a funnel cloud in the far distance.

“We kind of paused and Jamie snapped a picture of us and then we kept going on our way into the inside venue,” Kelsey said. “A few minutes later the sirens were going off and it started to downpour.”

Manstrom, the owner of Manstrom Photography, said he had to stop the couple when he saw the funnel cloud, despite the bad weather.

"People started to get a little bit nervous and head inside but we knew we had to stop quick and make something happen," he told ABC News. "How could you make a moment like that on the biggest day of your life pass?"

The Loeslies saw their one-of-a-kind funnel cloud wedding photo for the first time this week while they were on their honeymoon.

“My husband’s dad texted us the photo on our honeymoon and I was just so excited to see our first wedding photo that I didn’t even notice the tornado in the background,” Kelsey Loeslie said. “My husband pointed it out.”

She added, “It’ll definitely be one that we frame.”
