— -- Popeye is no longer just eating spinach.

Meet Popeye the rescue dog, who dines finer than some human beings. This paw-dorable pup is Instragram’s favorite four-legged foodie, with nearly 35,000 followers.

“My friend, Jen, had always encouraged me to create an Instagram for Popeye, but I wanted something a little different,” his owner, Ivy Diep, of Los Angeles, told ABC News. “Jen and I like to go on what we call ‘Instagram dates’ where we would try different restaurants and take Instagram pictures of our food. I would bring Popeye to any of the pet-friendly places, and we realized how good he was around food. He would sit still for photos.”

Not only does he sit still for the photos, he often dresses up in theme for them.

“I shop on Amazon quite often and when I run into cute dog outfits ... I can't help myself,” Diep said. “He wears clothes pretty well.”

She and her husband rescued Popeye in January 2014, and they believe he’s about 3 to 4 years old now. They’re proud of well-behaved he is in restaurants.

“We do get compliments on how well behaved he is sitting in front of food,” Diep said. “He does like to bark at any dogs that walk by, and that's when he's naughty.”

No, he doesn’t actually eat all this delicious food, but he sure does look cute posing with it.

“We'll give him nibbles of anything that's safe for him,” she said. “We always carry a bag of his favorite treats as well. He's usually not really into the food anyway. He just likes to be out and about -- people watching and to bark at any other dog that walks by.”
