— -- The off-the-shoulder top is back in force this summer as one of the season's biggest trends.

Good Housekeeping magazine’s style director, Lori Bergamotto, joined “Good Morning America” today to show us how to style the silhouette.

Here are Bergamotto's tips, in her own words.

The Off-The Shoulder-Top is no longer just a one-hit-wonder. It has quickly gone from a flash-in-the-pan trend to new classic.

These understatedly sexy shirts achieve everything from a boho vibe to a glam statement. It’s a piece that you can really cycle throughout your day and into the night.

We chose this pinstripe one from H&M because it’s a light cotton fabric for summer, goes with literally everything, and costs $18.

Plus, highlighting your shoulders makes so much sense since it’s one of the last places you age or gain weight.

LOOK 1: POLISHED AND PROFESH
You can take the off-the-shoulder top to work. Here, we were able to pull the shoulders up and secure with a little fashion tape (which you can find online or in beauty supply stores for under $5). Teaming it with a darker hue in the same color family and adding a point-toe metallic pump makes it a polished and practical warm-weather work look.
LOOK 2: TRENDY
Since we know that an OTS top looks great with jeans and also as a layering piece, we married those two concepts by putting it under a pair of black overalls. It’s a little bit more daring, but still feels low-key. Add an espadrille wedge to keep consistent with casual summer vibe.
LOOK 3: FIERCE AND FLIRTY
Here, we’re taking the top and manipulating it a little bit by tucking in the arm and transforming it into an asymmetrical top over skinny jeans with an open-toe bootie. Make sure you turn the sleeve inside out first and lay it as flay as possible alongside the back of your bra to keep it from peeking out.
VIEWER QUESTION/BROAD SHOULDERS: I always try to pull off the “off the shoulder look” but I get self-conscious because I have broad shoulders. Should I give up trying to make it work?
No! You should totally try to make it work. A few things to keep in mind:
- Avoid horizontal stripes and opt for vertical stripes instead. They’ll draw the eye down and have a slimming effect.
- Look for a top that is a little longer in the front. It helps balance out the width of broad shoulders and adds proportion to the overall look.
If all else fails and you want to just test-drive the trend, then opt for tops that have shoulder cutouts (otherwise known as the “cold shoulder”) or off-the-shoulder tops with tank straps.
