Spider-Man cheers up children affected by Hurricane Harvey
Not every superhero wears a cape.
— -- One superhero made sure the youngest survivors of Hurricane Harvey weren’t forgotten.
An unidentified man dressed up as Spider-Man handed out toys and stickers to kids in Houston’s George R. Brown Convention Center on Tuesday.
More than 10,000 evacuees were seeking shelter in the convention center as of Tuesday afternoon.
Local media outlet Spectrum News captured the Spider-Man making his rounds inside the center.
One girl yelled, "Hey Spider-Man!" The suited man waved back enthusiastically before handing her a toy and a sticker to her delight.
Another young boy proudly showed off his toy to Spider-Man, before getting a high-five from the superhero.
Spidey wasn't the first superhero to stop by.
On Monday, a man dressed up as Batman delivered clothes and supplies with his 4-year old son, who was dressed up as "Little Batman."
