Teacher Appreciation Day 2017: Students give thanks

— -- The third-grade students at P.S. 8 in Brooklyn, New York expressed gratitude to their teacher Sjene Kendrick, one of more than 3 million teachers in the U.S. honored on Teacher Appreciation Day.

The students talked openly about the impact Kendrick has on their learning experience, giving her an A+ for her efforts. From her “reading voice” to her sense of humor, the students all express admiration for her leadership of their class.

“The best thing about being a teacher is just watching their eyes light up when they finally get a concept you’ve been trying to instill in them,” said Kendrick.
