Texas Sheriff’s Office Honors Beloved K-9 With Traditional ‘Last Call’

“We forever remain your humble servants.”

— -- A K-9 working dog named Argo was given a touching tribute by his human colleagues before he passed last week.

According to a Facebook post by the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office in Edinburg, Tex., Argo was “honored with the traditional Last Call, given to those who pass in the line of duty.”

Argo had bone cancer, according to the county sheriff's office, “but [Argo] refused to let it slow him down. Only after the pain became evident to his partner and the cancer was found to be all over his body and terminal, was the hard, painful, but loving decision made to end his suffering.”
