Watch Ultimate Christmas Prank Pulled on Guy Who Hates the Holiday

— -- Gareth Neary disliked Christmas before, but John French's Christmas surprise took his distaste for the holiday to another level.

In a hilarious video posted to Facebook by French, Neary -- after a 30-hour flight from Sydney -- walks into the bedroom of his Dublin, Ireland home to find it wrapped. Every single thing -- walls, bed, pillow -- covered in Christmas paper. The prank took about four hours to complete.

French told ABC News, he and Neary have a history of "generally annoying each other."

Neary, who French said he calls Gar-inch instead of Gareth because of his distaste for the holiday, was away for over 2 weeks in Australia. "We thought we would give him a warm welcome home," French said.

"I'm sure all he wanted to do was sleep. I'm genuinely terrified about what the pay back will be."
