— -- Little Leah Saldivar is the biggest Drake fan ever.
The 6-year-old from San Antonio, Texas, has been singing Drake songs since she could talk, so naturally, her mom, Alexis Gomez, planned a Drake-themed birthday party for her on Sept. 26.
“My friend bought her a shirt that said ‘Turn My Birthday Into a Lifestyle’ and she knows the lyrics to that song, and that was it from there,” Gomez told ABC News. “I ordered the Drake balloons on Amazon and just garnished the tables with fake diamonds and money confetti and printed these little 4x6 pictures with Drake to put on them.”
Unbeknownst to Gomez, however, her friend posted photos of the party to Twitter where they quickly racked up 15,000 retweets and 25,000 likes.
“I didn’t even know my friend put it on Twitter and then she messaged me later that night saying people had kept retweeting it,” she explained. “Then my friends are texting me at 3 in the morning and I was like, ‘Why is it doing this?’ I never expected it to do this.”
Despite the 50 guests and elaborate theme, Gomez said the Drake celebration did not take long to organize.
Now she’s on to planning next year’s birthday party for Leah, although she doesn’t know how she’ll ever top this one.
“I don’t know, honestly,” she said. “She pretty much likes Selena so I’ll probably throw her a Selena party next year.”
