Even though there is no specification about term limits in the original Constitution, the rule that presidents can only serve two terms was later added in an amendment after several presidents tried to game the system.
President Obama is one of them.
Obama joked during a recent Jimmy Kimmel interview that "it's useful" that there are term limits because "if I were able to run for a third term, Michelle would divorce me."
