— -- What to Know About the New Clinton-Related Emails. The revelation that the FBI is working to review a cache of newly discovered emails potentially tied to the agency’s probe of Hillary Clinton’s private email server has jolted her campaign and put FBI Director James Comey in the crosshairs of even longtime supporters. But exactly what do we know about the emails? The bottom line: not much. It’s still too early to say whether any of the newly discovered emails are truly new to FBI agents who have been investigating the matter for more than a year. And it’s still too early to say whether any of the emails contain any type of sensitive information. As one source close to the matter put it on Saturday, “We don’t know what this is yet.” ABC’s MIKE LEVINE notes what we do know: http://abcn.ws/2eeGBtA

Democrats, Republicans Pressure FBI Director After Email Revelation. Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Maryland, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, joined other Democrats in calling for more information from the agency on the latest email developments and any potential investigation into the Trump’s campaigns ties to Russia. Republicans have pressed Comey for updates, as well. Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, the leader of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisconsin, the chair of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, have both asked for updates but stopped short of criticizing him for the disclosure, ABC’s BENJAMIN SIEGEL notes. http://abcn.ws/2dVPfyM

Clinton Urges Supporters to 'Not Get Distracted' by FBI Email Revelation. Hillary Clinton wasted no time Monday addressing the email investigation looming over her campaign, telling supporters that "there is no case here." "I’m sure a lot of you may be asking what this new email story is about and why in the world the FBI would decide to jump into an election with no evidence of wrongdoing with just days to go? That’s a good question," Clinton told supporters at Kent State University. "Now they apparently want to look at emails of one of my staffers and by all means, they should look at them. I am sure they will reach the same conclusion they did when they looked at my emails for the last year," she added. ABC’s JOSH HASKELL has more. http://abcn.ws/2eNCvsS

TALES FROM THE TRAIL

ABC’s JOHN SANTUCCI and CANDACE SMITH: Trump held his first rally of Halloween in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “Thriller” and “The Monster Mash” had been blasting before Trump’s rally started. Trump defended FBI Director James Comey over the move to notify Congress the FBI is reviewing new emails that could be tied to Clinton’s private email server. “That was so bad what happened originally and it took guts for Director Comey to make the move that he made in light of the kind of opposition he had where they are trying to protect her from criminal prosecution,” Trump said. “It took a lot of guts. I really disagreed with him. I was not his fan. But I’ll tell you what, what he did, he brought back his reputation.”

ABC’s LIZ KREUTZ: Over the past 17 months covering Hillary Clinton’s campaign, I’ve met lots of fascinating people, but some of the most interesting have been the men and women who take me to and from campaign events. My Uber drivers. The men and women who work for the ride-share service aren't necessarily the type who attend political rallies, but they all seem to have a lot to say. The former professor who picked me up in Boston during the Massachusetts primary who said: The “best thing going for Hillary Clinton were all the other candidates.” The father who drove me in Raleigh, North Carolina, who wished Americans could just start all over again and pick new presidential nominees. The woman who picked me up from the presidential debate in St. Louis last month who thanked me for watching the debate so she didn't have to. I took 25 Uber rides in Ohio, Florida, North Carolina and Pennsylvania over the past week. What I found through my admittedly unscientific reporting is a diverse group of people largely leaning toward voting for Clinton over Trump. But most of them aren't excited about it. Here's some of what they had to say: http://abcn.ws/2f9vAHC

ABC’s JESSICA HOPPER: At his rally in Sanford, North Carolina, Kaine engaged with a heckler who shouted at him that Wikileaks, not Russia, is behind the attempts to interfere with the U.S. Election. As the heckler shouted over him, Kaine told the female heckler: “I think you all know the government of Russia is trying to influence the outcome of this election.” On a lighthearted note, Kaine made mention of Halloween. "And I know it’s Halloween so we scheduled this a little bit early because I’m sure y’all have either candy to give out or folks to chaperone so that’s why we’re doing this a little bit earlier on October 31st,” Kaine said. He also joked that he was keeping his staff energized with 8 days left by finding song titles that reference 8 days. "In the car on the way over I was trying to play every 8 days song I knew. 8 days a week by the Beatles, 8 days on the road by Aretha Franklin. I was cranking up every one I could to get the staff and everybody motivated and that’s what I’m here to do,” Kaine said.
