“This Week” Posts Largest News Demo Lead Over “Face the Nation” in More Than 4 Months

— -- ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” averaged 3.082 million Total Viewers and 900,000 Adults 25-54 on November 29, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “This Week” beat CBS’ “Face the Nation” (631,000) by 269,000 Adults 25-54, posting its largest news demo lead in more than 4 months – since 7/19/15.

“This Week” turned in double-digits gains year to year (2.636 million and 769,000, respectively, for 11/30/14) in both Total Viewers (+17%) and Adults 25-54 (+17%). “This Week” has delivered year-to-year growth in 9 of the 10 weeks this season.

Season to date, “This Week” ranks as the No. 1 public affairs program in Adults 25-54 (933,000), leading CBS’ “Face the Nation” (776,000) by 153,000 and NBC’s “Meet the Press” (896,000) by 37,000, and taking the top spot at the point of a season for the first time in 22 years – since the 1993-94 season.

In addition, “This Week’s” news demo lead over “Face the Nation” is its largest at this point of a season in 17 years – since the 1998-99 season. “This Week” is also beating “Meet the Press” in the key adult news demo season to date for the 2nd year in a row.

“This Week” is improving by double digits in both Total Viewers (+14% - 3.171 million vs. 2.780 million) and Adults 25-54 (+15% - 933,000 vs. 814,000) versus its year-ago season averages to post its strongest performance in 7 years – since the 2008-09 season.
