“This Week” Ranks No. 1 in Adults 25-54 for the 9th Consecutive Week

— -- ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” stood as Sunday’s No. 1 public affairs program in Adults 25-54 (1.011 million) on October 25, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. Ranking No. 1 in the first 5 weeks of the season, “This Week” is delivering its strongest competitive start to a season in the key adult news demo in 22 years – since the 1993-94 season. Further, “This Week” has ranked No. 1 in the key adult news demo for the 9th week in a row.

In Adults 25-54, “This Week” (1.011 million) beat NBC’s “Meet the Press” (864,000) by 147,000 and CBS’ “Face the Nation” (887,000) by 124,000.

“This Week” turned in week-to-week, double-digits increases (2.806 million and 849,000, respectively, for w/o 10/18/15) in both Total Viewers (+19%) and Adults 25-54 (+19%).

In addition, “This Week” surged on the year-ago Sunday (2.474 million and 701,000, respectively, for 10/26/14) in both Total Viewers (+35%) and Adults 25-54 (+44%), building year to year in both measures for the last 4 weeks.

Season to date, “This Week” ranks as the No. 1 public affairs program in Adults 25-54 (954,000), leading CBS’ “Face the Nation” (778,000) by 176,000 and NBC’s “Meet the Press” (822,000) by 132,000, and taking the top spot at the point of a season for the first time in 21 years – since the 1994-95 season. In addition, “This Week’s” news demo lead over “Face the Nation” is its largest at this point of a season in 17 years – since the 1998-99 season. “This Week” is also beating “Meet the Press” in the key adult news demo season to date for the 2nd year in a row.

“This Week” is improving by double digits in both Total Viewers (+11% - 3.105 million vs. 2.789 million) and Adults 25-54 (+18% - 954,000 vs. 808,000) versus its year-ago season averages to post its strongest start to a season in 7 years – since the 2008-09 season.
