“This Week” Beats NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers for 4th Time in Last 5 Weeks

“This Week” Grows Year-to-Year in Adults 25-54 (+19%) and Total Viewers (+9%)

Season to Date, “This Week” is Up in Adults 25-54 Delivering its Strongest News Demo Performance in 6 Years

ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” averaged 2.693 Total Viewers and 808,000 Adults 25-54 on April 19, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “This Week” led NBC’s “Meet the Press” by 77,000 Total Viewers (2.693 million vs. 2.616 million), beating the NBC program for the 3rd week in a row and for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks.

For the 3rd straight week, “This Week” improved on its year-ago Sunday performance (2.478 million and 679,000, respectively, for 4/20/14) in both Total Viewers (+9%) and Adults 25-54 (+19%).

Season to date, “This Week” is up in Adults 25-54 (+2% - 874,000 vs. 857,000) versus its year-ago season average delivering its strongest news demo performance in 6 years – since the 2008-09 season. In fact, “This Week” is the only program to grow in Adults 25-54 as CBS’ “Face the Nation” (-1%), NBC’s “Meet the Press” (-4%) and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” (-3%) are all posting losses.

In addition, “This Week” is outdelivering NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers (+13,000) and Adults 25-54 (+64,000) for the 2nd year in a row, seeing its largest news demo lead in 21 years – since the 1993-94 season.
