“This Week” Beats NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54, Leading in Overall Viewers for the 4th Time in the Last 5 Weeks

— -- ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” averaged 2.558 Total Viewers and 768,000 Adults 25-54 on May 3, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “This Week” led NBC’s “Meet the Press” (2.555 million and 713,000, respectively) by 3,000 Total Viewers and by 55,000 Adults 25-54, beating the NBC program in overall viewers for the 4th time in the last 5 weeks.

“This Week” saw week-to-week increases (2.475 million and 759,000, respectively, for 4/26/15) in both Total Viewers (+3%) and Adults 25-54 (+1%), while CBS’ “Face the Nation” (-19%/-15%) and NBC’s “Meet the Press” (-2%/-9%) turned in losses in both measures.

Season to date, “This Week” is up in Adults 25-54 (+1% - 866,000 vs. 854,000) versus its year-ago season average, delivering its strongest news demo performance in 6 years – since the 2008-09 season. In fact, “This Week” is the only program to grow in Adults 25-54 as CBS’ “Face the Nation” is flat, while NBC’s “Meet the Press” (-3%) and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” (-2%) are both down.

In addition, “This Week” is outdelivering NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers (+5,000) and Adults 25-54 (+59,000) for the 2nd year in a row, seeing its largest news demo lead in 21 years – since the 1993-94 season.
