“This Week” Grows by Double-Digits Week-to-Week (+12%) and Year-to-Year (+10%)in Total Viewers

“This Week” Increases by Double-Digits in Total Viewers (+13%) and Adults 25-54 (+11%) Versus Year-Ago Season Averages

ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” averaged 3.314 million Total Viewers and 870,000 Adults 25-54 on December 20, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “This Week” beat CBS’ “Face the Nation” (3.271 million and 771,000, respectively) in both Total Viewers (+43,000) and Adults 25-54 (+99,000).

“This Week” saw double-digit Total Viewer increases week to week (+12% - 3.314 million vs. 2.972 million for 12/13/15) and year to year (+10% - 3.314 million vs. 3.018 million for 12/21/14).

Season to date, “This Week” ranks as the No. 1 public affairs program in Adults 25-54 (930,000), leading CBS’ “Face the Nation” (801,000) by 129,000 and NBC’s “Meet the Press” (912,000) by 18,000, and taking the top spot for the first time in 22 years – since the 1993-94 season.

In addition, “This Week’s” news demo lead over “Face the Nation” is its largest at this point of a season in 15 years – since the 2000-01 season. “This Week” is also beating “Meet the Press” in the key adult news demo season to date for the 2nd year in a row.

“This Week” is improving by double digits in both Total Viewers (+13% - 3.178 million vs. 2.817 million) and Adults 25-54 (+11% - 930,000 vs. 837,000) versus its year-ago season averages to post its strongest performance in 7 years – since the 2008-09 season.
