“This Week” Wins Adults 25-54 for the 10th Straight Week

— -- ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” ranked as Sunday’s No. 1 public affairs program in Adults 25-54 (848,000) on August 2, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. Leading in Adults 25-54 for the 10th straight Sunday, “This Week” matched its longest winning streak in 22 years in the key adult news demo (since 6/6 – 8/8/93).

In Adults 25-54, “This Week” beat NBC’s “Meet the Press” (810,000) by 38,000 and CBS’ “Face the Nation” (703,000) by 145,000.

“This Week” surged on the year-ago Sunday by double-digits (2.287 million and 616,000, respectively, on 8/3/14) in both Total Viewers (+20%) and Adults 25-54 (+38%). “This Week” has posted year-to-year gains in the last 3 weeks and in 7 of the last 8 in both measures.

Season to date, “This Week” ranks as the No. 1 public affairs program in Adults 25-54 (873,000), taking the top spot for the first time at the point of the season in 21 years – since the 1993-94 season. “This Week” leads CBS’ “Face the Nation” (867,000) by 6,000 Adults 25-54 and NBC’s “Meet the Press” (804,000) by 69,000 Adults 25-54.

“This Week” is up in Adults 25-54 (+5% - 873,000 vs. 828,000) versus its year-ago season average. Growing its Adults 25-54 performance for the 2nd year in a row, “This Week” is delivering its strongest news demo performance in 6 years – since the 2008-09 season. In fact, “This Week” is the only program to grow in Adults 25-54, as NBC’s “Meet the Press” and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” are flat, while CBS’ “Face the Nation” (-2%) is down.

In addition, “This Week” is outdelivering NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers (+26,000) and Adults 25-54 (+69,000) for the 2nd-straight year, seeing its largest news demo lead in 22 years – since the 1992-93 season.
