The Angels slugger joined an elite club of players this weekend after his career totals reached 2,500 hits and 1,500 runs.

Only 70 players have racked up that many runs, while just 98 have tallied 2,500 or more hits, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Pujols and his Angels teammates continued the momentum on Monday when they routed the Cleveland Indians 12-3.
