The operation, run out of the European Space Agency with assistance from NASA, was the first of its kind and scientists are expected to gather data that they have never been able to retrieve before since comets have previously only been observed from afar.

text: Two window cleaners were rescued from outside One World Trade Center after one of the cables broke on their scaffolding unit.

The malfunction happened near the 68th floor of the building and Fire Department crews rushed to cut through the window and were able to get the two men back inside safely.

The building, which stands as the tallest in America and the Western Hemisphere, just opened to new tenants last week.

Mitch McConnell, who is expected to become the new Senate Majority Leader following the Republican landslide last week, welcomed the incoming Republican senators for coffee on Wednesday but the niceties stopped after passing the sugar.

McConnell said he was "distressed" by Obama's actions, specifically citing the climate emissions deal reached during the APEC summit in China.

"The problem is the president continues to send signals that he has no intention of moving towards the middle," McConnell said.
