Paul George Undergoes Surgery After Gruesome Injury

NBA star Paul George may miss next season after suffering a gruesome leg injury during the U.S. national team's scrimmage Friday night.

George suffered an open tibia-fibula fracture when his leg landed and then buckled behind the basket, ESPN reports. He underwent successful surgery late Friday.

George took to Twitter, saying, "Thanks everybody for the love and support.. I'll be ok and be back better than ever!!! Love y'all!!"

The scrimmage was canceled after George left in an ambulance.

Golfer Dustin Johnson, 30, is taking a leave of absence to “seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced” and will not be competing in the Ryder Cup, ESPN reports.

Johnson released a statement through his management company that read “By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfill my potential and become a consistent champion."

A teaser trailer for Disney’s ‘Into The Woods’ shows famous faces like Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, and Emily Blunt inside the world of Brothers Grimm fairy tales. A three-way trade on Thursday left David Price with the Detroit Tigers, The Tampa Bay Rays with Drew Smyly and Nick Franklin, and the Seattle Mariners with Austin Jackson, ESPN reports.

Price, a Cy Young Award winner, seemed thrilled about the trade, tweeting “wow…what a day!! Rays fans THANK YOU!! Great Chapter of my life just ended…ready to start a new one with the Tigers!! Thanks again.”
