Blackhawk goalie equipment missing

— -- CHICAGO -- Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford was only partly joking when he said Monday he was going to start chaining his equipment to the wall.

After already having his Stadium Series mask go missing after being shipped last week, Crawford said he a had a pair of goalie pads and gloves stolen after Saturday's game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Soldier Field.

"No, I didn't find the mask, and you're not going to believe this, but my pads got stolen at Soldier Field -- white pads, gloves," Crawford said. "Yeah, I was stunned too when I heard it.

"I don't even know what to think anymore, seriously. I'm stunned by the whole thing. That's crazy. I can't believe it."

Crawford said he was told they may have caught the thief on camera.

"Actually, I do think they did catch someone on camera," Crawford said. "I still can't believe it. I think they're joking. I think they have my pads in back, and they're playing a joke on me.

"I think the NHL should look at their goalie pad security. This is crazy. I've never seen this before. I've never heard of this before. It's crazy. The trainers are all stunned that it happened. Honestly, I told every guy, and some of the guys didn't believe it. They didn't believe it happened."

Crawford has been able to find the humor in his misfortune.

"We were joking around that we may see the guy on Johnny's [IceHouse West] ice before we get out there," Crawford said.
