— -- A jersey believed to have been worn by Christian Laettner when he took the famous turnaround jumper to lead Duke over Kentucky in the 1992 NCAA tournament has been sold by an auction house for $119,500.

Lelands.com sold the jersey, which it said was given to it by a consigner whom Laettner gave the jersey when that season concluded, to a single bidder who has wished to remain anonymous.

"This is the second-highest price ever paid at auction for a game-worn basketball jersey," said Lelands.com founder and chairman Joshua Evans. "We couldn't be more thrilled."

A Virginia Squires game-used jersey worn by Julius Erving sold for $190,414 in 2011.

Other items sold in the auction included Jackie Robinson's 1947 Rookie of the Year Award ($401,968), Red Schoendienst's Baseball Hall of Fame presentation plaque ($46,999), Juan Gonzalez's 1996 American League MVP Award ($23,287) and Livan Hernandez's 1997 Florida Marlins world championship ring ($18,752).
