— -- DETROIT -- For the second time in less than a month, Green Bay Packers starting center Evan Dietrich-Smith left a game because of a knee injury.

The Packers lost Dietrich-Smith in the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Detroit Lions.

Dietrich-Smith also left the Nov. 10 game against the Philadelphia Eagles because of a knee injury. It was not immediately known if the two injuries were related, however Dietrich-Smith was not listed on the Packers' injury report this week.

Without him, the Packers moved right guard T.J. Lang to center and brought in Marshall Newhouse to play right guard.

Newhouse had started the previous two games at right tackle while Don Barclay was out with a knee injury. Barclay returned against the Lions.
